HHW Vouchers

Unincorporated Harris County residents may request a free voucher to use at one of two permanent collection sites operated by the City of Houston. The locations accept the same items as the Harris County one-day HHW Collection events, including paints, thinners & turpentine, aerosols, household cleaners, stains & varnish, pesticides & herbicides, lawn care products, solvents, motor oil & filters, antifreeze, batteries, pool chemicals, fuels, mercury thermometers, and used electronics. Auto tires will NOT be accepted.

Unincorporated Harris County residents may call (713) 290-3000 or submit the online form to request a voucher for the City of Houston locations. Once we receive your request, our office will issue you a voucher number that you must present to facility staff upon arrival.

The City of Houston Southside Service Center is located at 11500 South Post Oak and is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and the second Saturday of every month form 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The City of Houston Northside Service Center is located at 5614 Neches and is open every second Thursday of the month from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

(City of Houston residents do not require a County voucher and may use these facilities free of charge by presenting a current water bill and matching driver's license)

The Harris County HHW Voucher program will not be issuing vouchers for the Montgomery County facility until spring 2009. If you have Household Hazardous Waste to dispose of and you do not reside inside the City of Houston limits or Pasadena, you may request a voucher to take it to the City of Houston facilities located at 11500 South Post Oak and 5614 Neches or you may bring it to one of our Harris County HHW events.

The City of Houston Westpark Recycling Facility, located at 5900 Westpark, accepts all batteries, used motor oil and filters, latex paint, antifreeze, and tires from all Houston-area residents. The facility is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No County voucher, water bill or identification is needed to use this facility.
